www.revzilla.com The premier lid from Fox is the Fox Racing V3 Helmet, a pro-level helmet developed hand-in-hand with Fox and pro racers Ricky Carmichael & Bubba Stewart. Extraordinarily lightweight with a measurement coming in right around 3.0lbs, the V3 is a strong carbon fiber, kevlar and fiberglass construction. Airflow was an enormous factor for the pros, and this helmet addresses those needs with a ton of intake vents that flow air directly to channels drilled through the EPS for distribution. This air is then sucked through the helmet and pulled through the multiple exhaust vents to take out all the hot humid air and moisture. With 14 total vents, this triple-channel system is arguably the best in the industry. Loaded with more features too abundant for this video description, the Fox Racing V3 Helmet will go head-to-head with the best-in-class from any leading dirt helmet manufacturer.

www.revzilla.com Touting Snell 2010 certification in its newest release, the HJC FS-15 Helmet has been extremely popular over the last couple years and we see this new model as offering some of the greatest bang for the buck in a 3/4 or tuck sport riding helmet. Available in a carbon model and a fiberglass model, the FS-15 is loaded with features including the third generation Advanced Channeling Ventilation System, an anti-fog pin-lock ready quick release shield system with a spring-loaded pressure seal, and a removable washable Silvercool antibacterial moisture-wicking liner. The value-to-dollar ratio on the FS-15 (especially the carbon) is off the charts. Standard version available at www.revzilla.com

The clear coat cracked some. Kevlar and carbon fiber did their job well by holding the helmet together and keeping the interior in original condition. This is not any type of official test. www.revzilla.com Billed as HJC Helmets’ premier race lid, the HJC RPS-10 Helmet was developed over the course of 2+ years with the able assistance of MotoGP rider Ben Spies, who is currently wearing it on the circuit. Brand new for 2010, it is the third lightest lid available from RevZilla.com, weighing in at a lean 3.3lbs. Constructed from a blend of fiberglass, carbon fiber and aramid, the RPS-10 is extremely lightweight yet rigid as well. Its Snell 2010 certification means that it is up to the newest and most rigorous safety standards and its mid-level price point suggests that it’s going to be a major hit for a vast range of riders. One thing to note is that the HJC RPS-10 is a round oval head shape. It will generally not be suitable for the rider who usually wears Shoei or Arai Helmets.
